We host educational events on a regular basis that are open to the public.  Past events include:

July 17, 2012: “How to Make Your Own Cleaning Products” with Kristin Avery of Lime Hollow Naturals.

July 8, 2012: Flower Garden Tour

March 29, 2012: book discussion of Gernot Wagner’s But Will the Planet Notice? How Smart Economics Can Save the Planet.

March 27, 2012: Talk by Sandra Steingraber at SUNY Cortland.

February 23, 2012: book discussion of Sandra Steingraber’s Raising Elijah: Protecting our Children in an Age of Environmental Crisis.

January 26, 2012: The first book discussion in the Soup and Sustenance Winter Reading Series.  We discussed “Folks, this ain’t normal” by Joel Salatin.

November 30, 2011: Allan Gandelman of Main St. Farms gave a presentation on Aquaponics at the Grange, entitled “Aquaponics: Fish Grew my Vegetables.”

October 2011: Sustainable Living Tour - visit of local farm (Twin Oaks Dairy), homes, and organizations such as YWCA, Lime Hollow and SUNY Cortland.

September 18-24, 2011: Sustainable Cortland and Seven Valley Health Coalition joined together to organize “Moving Cortland: A Week to Move Beyond Fossil Fuel.”

September 2011: Freedom Bus Tour and Film Screening

April:  Sustainability Week takes place annually the week prior to Earth Day (April 22).
